Inspiration For The Believer (4)

Continuing from where we left off, I would like to talk about a special inspiration for the believer. This inspiration results from “the knowledge of people’s need”. On the news on radio, television and the internet, there is not a time that there is no report of bad news. It is either the bad news is from the country or reported as international news.

The poverty, sickness and destruction that affects people in our world today sends a simple message; “the world needs help”. Now the question is who are those entrusted to meet those needs? Because a believer is not supposed to be poor, he has more than enough to help others. Because a believer is not supposed to fall sick, he brings healing to the door steps of people who are sick and because the believer is not ruled by circumstances around him, he becomes the pillar and solution to the destruction in the lives of people.

I need not spend so much time on the inspiration in our topic today. The fact that you are the solution to the needs of people should inspire you in this Christian race to go deeper and to seek God more.

The disciples became a wonder to people not because they had a different faith than you have but because they came to understand who they truly were. They knew they could do what Jesus did because He had commissioned them to do same. Paul’s body and handkerchief doing miracles (Acts 19:12) was just a replica of what happened when the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus (Mark 5:25-34). Your understanding of who you are and what you can do is what will catapult you into greatness. From today know how valuable you are to God and to man. Know that the whole world needs you because there is no one like you on this entire earth. You are the glory of God, the expression of His divine wisdom.

People need you; they need the message of the Gospel. They need to know that God has than all there is and it is now time for them to believe and to walk in it. The Gospel is the solution to the chaos and wars in this present world. You can punish people for doing wrong but you cannot force them to do right. Only the Gospel can transform the heart of a person to do right. That is what the world needs and only you can give it to them.
