Jesus understands your problems

Jesus

Do you sometimes wonder if God really knows what it is like to be poor and rejected by people you love. In my own life it has happened to me when I proposed to a lady and she rejected my love right to my face. Perhaps you may be going through a similar experience or another where you are asking, “Does God really understand what I am going through?”

Beloved, Jesus was no stranger to emotional or physical pains, poverty or hardships. He was born into a poor home; in a smelly manger where no one would wish to be (Luke 2:7). From an early age, as a son of a renowned carpenter and as a carpenter himself, He knew all about working hard with His bare hands.

The religious leaders of His day made life difficult for Him. They accused Him of many things. They challenged His authority (Matthew 21:23) and tested His teachings (Matthew 19:3). They also called Him many other things like a glutton, a blasphemer, winebibber, friend of tax collectors and sinners (Matthew 11:19).

They said that He was demon-possessed and mad (John 10:20), attempted to stone Him (John 8:59, 10:31–39) and accused Him of perverting the nation (Luke 23:2). I am sure many of us would have broken down or from anger forget the mission because of such a heartless generation in the time. Taking into account the brief description of what Jesus went through, how strange is your problem compared to Him?

Have you been chased out of your own home because of your Christian beliefs? Jesus understands your problem. He was also chased out of His own hometown (Luke 4:29). Have you been rejected by someone you love? It has happened to me also as you read earlier but Jesus also experienced the pain of being denied by a loved one (Luke 22:54–62) and betrayed by one considered close to Him (Luke 22:47–48). He also knows all about the sickness you are suffering because He bore your sicknesses and pains on the cross. (Isaiah 53:4)

Jesus certainly understands your problems because being a Man, He has lived, been tested and has endured the sufferings for our sakes so we can have His peace and the courage to rise above the troubles we are facing! So if you are going through anything unusual set your gaze on Jesus because He is your sure way to victory.
