You Are As Righteous As Jesus
You are as righteous as Jesus is! This may be difficult for you to believe but that is why I am writing this article. Do you know who first clothed man with coats of skin? It was God Almighty Himself. Are you surprised? Don’t be! When God found Adam and Eve hiding behind the bushes because they were afraid of Him, He didn’t condemn them but rather killed an animal and clothed them (Genesis 3:21). An animal had to die and its bloodied skin became their covering. This symbolises the blood of Jesus that covers you when He became your burnt offering. Jesus did not only take away your sins but He also gave you His righteousness. Yes, now you are as righteous as Jesus is.
Beloved, you are covered by Jesus’ blood. You are righteous by His blood. God has clothed you with the robe of righteousness, which was paid for by Jesus’ blood. I am not talking about a physical robe made of cloth. I am talking about that robe of righteousness that made Him a conqueror and a wonder, superior to anyone or anything around Him. I am talking about the robe of righteousness that brought terror to demons and adverse conditions. What happened in the Old Testament as a shadow (Adam) was fulfilled in the New Testament (Jesus).
When you believe that you are righteous because of Jesus’ blood, you will see the effects of wearing His robe of righteousness. You will see miracles happening before your very eyes. You become a blessing, favour or grace magnet. It is not your own righteousness, but the righteousness of Jesus which you have put on, that is attracting all these blessings of God into your life. The reason why many Christians do not see great manifestations is because they believe in their own righteousness. You don’t need to do everything right to walk in miracles neither do you have to be perfect to enjoy the blessings of God. Every blessing is your inheritance so stop trying to be righteous and enjoy the righteousness that Jesus freely gives.
My friend, have the consciousness of being clothed with Jesus’ robe of righteousness. Stop being self – righteous thinking you need to do something to get God to do something for you. You can die out of your own self pity and condemnation if you do not trust in the Christ’s righteousness; the righteousness you were born into when you became born again. That is the only way you can see the supernatural manifestation of God’s power in your day to day activities.
