How You Develop A Beggar’s Mentality
Today’s topic – how you develop a beggar’s mentality – is an interesting and fascinating one. This is mostly seen in some believers now that is why I want to discuss it today. Beggar’s mentality can be developed gradually through certain experiences or learnt from infancy from parents or someone close to the family. It is important to know how you develop a beggar’s mentality so you can guide against it. Many are living it but don’t know they actually are.
First of all, anyone who does not believe in God is very liable to such a mindset. God is real and not some bed time story. He is the one that grants wisdom for making investments and He makes your riches last till the very end. He is the only person that has the ability to change the mind of people to think success only. You can go to school from sun up to sun down and that knowledge won’t do much for you.
Not believing in the word of God is another way you develop a beggar’s mentality. Many claim they believe but in reality do not. We mostly use our experience to interpret the Bible when the Bible should rather be our experience. The Word of God teaches that it is God’s will that we prosper (3 John 2, Joshua 1:8) but there are a lot of believers who are still being deceived to think that to be poor is to be spiritual. Everyone God associated with by name was never poor. Abraham when he killed the whole city (of Elam, Goiim, Shinar and Ellasar), was given a lot of wealth, but he declined because he was already rich and didn’t want the kings to make the remark that they made him rich (Genesis 14). Not having God’s word concerning a situation is what cripples us. God’s word is what gives wisdom to create wealth. So without the Word in you, you can develop a beggar’s mentality.
You develop a beggar’s mentality when you don’t want to solve hard problems. I admit that everyone wants everything to be easy but that is not life. Avoiding difficult problems only weakens your mind and makes you even lazier than before. Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare (Proverbs 20:13). A lazy man is often asking others for help when they could solve them themselves. Take a look at countries who are developed and you will notice one common trend: they work hard by putting their minds to work. Most countries that are poor are full of natural resources but lack the thinking capabilities to transform them to something beneficial.
My beloved, this article –“How you develop a beggar’s mentality” – is to help you in guarding against such a mentality. God is a big God and does not want His children to be poor. In fact, He wants to show His children’s riches so others see how good He is.
Good good stuff. Great blog.
