Why Many Do Not Get Healed
So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Faith is never derived through sympathy nor does it come through discussing with people your pains and aches, weaknesses and sicknesses. If anything, this rather breeds doubt and unbelief.
Faith is born when we hear the word of truth. It is only the truth that shall make men free (John 8:32). And Jesus is the truth! If we want to see people delivered from the bondage of disease, we must teach them the part of God’s word that sets them free from disease. The truth is Christ wills that every person be healed and made whole or He would not have bothered taking the stripes by which we were healed.
The truth about healing
One may ask why many do not get healed? The answer is quite simple; Because of the lack of teaching and preaching on the Bible truth of healing. We have been taught from childhood that salvation is for all who believe in Christ. The Bible says for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Had we been taught the truth in regard to healing for the body as positively as we have been taught the truth in regard to spiritual salvation, people would believe for healing in the same way that they believe for regeneration.
Let us not stand by the bed of sick people to sympathize with their pains. Let us never insinuate that it must be God’s will to inflict them or that it will teach them patience. God can win any way! So just because it draws them closer to the Lord doesn’t mean it is from Him. Instead of doing that, let us declare war on every form of sickness and take authority over every form of demon power through the name of Jesus Christ.
Conclusion
There is no maybe when it comes to healing. He heals all who come to Him believing in His promise. I am the Lord who heals you (Exodus 15:26). It is not was or will be but a present day reality. All you need to do is to look up to Him and not the severity of your sickness. He is the same forever so walk in faith knowing that He will surely heal any and every sickness in your life.
