Like Father Like Son

Being born again has been misunderstood by many. Even many in the Church still don’t know what it means to be born again. Being born again is a special experience that will be explained briefly in this article. To understand it clearly we will be using examples we can easily relate to.

We all know that everything produces after its kind. Apple trees produce apples, dogs give birth to puppies and cats give birth to kittens. Assuming you saw a dog giving birth to a kitten, what would be your first impression? This is an abnormal! The same way, when you are born again, you are born of God. You become a child of the Most High God. His Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you are His child and you are therefore translated into a glorious Sonship where He becomes your Father.

And so when the devil comes to you with his deception just know in your heart that you are like your Father in Heaven. Be bold to declare that “I am a child of the Most High God.” This means that you cannot fall sick because God does not fall sick, you cannot be poor because God is not poor, you cannot be in lack because God does not lack anything, and you cannot be defeated because God cannot be defeated.

My beloved, when you are born of God, you are born to win. Because your Daddy God is a winner, you are one too! When you wake up in the morning, say, “I am a winner because God is a winner; I am rich because God is rich; I am full of health because God cannot be sick!” And walk out in boldness.

When you say that you cannot afford to buy something that you need or that you are sick, you have forgotten which family you now belong to. Your Father owns every beast in the forest and the Cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) which means that you have been born into a rich family. You have a Daddy God in heaven who is well able to supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19). If there are areas of lack in your life now, there is no need to worry. Just ask God for the supply because your heavenly Father loves you and wants to supply your needs.

My beloved, even when all around you is going under, your Daddy God is still the same heavenly Father who kept Noah’s world afloat, his loved ones safe and sound, and his possessions intact. Your world will never go under because you are God’s beloved child! As it is popularly said, “Like Father Like Son”!
