There are a lot of things that we go through that makes us even question the Love of God for us. It may be problems in finances, health, academics or even issues related to other family members but is it enough to undermine God’s love for us. All that the devil tries to do is to make us question God’s love and His Word in our lives; for us to say “Is God’s love real? Does God really love me as the Bible claims He does? This is the main reason for this article – “the symbol of God’s love”.

Perhaps you are asking the same question today and wondering if God really loves you. Well, first of all I want you to know that you must never judge God’s love for you based on your circumstances. Look at the cross instead! The cross is the symbol of God’s love for you. It is at the cross that God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for all of us.

You may be going through a lot of misfortunes at this present time. Things may be going wrong for you at every turn and everything you get your hands on quickly comes tumbling down. You may even be considering suicide this very moment, but I want to assure you that God still loves you so much and there is no need for taking your life since you have a glorious future ahead of you.

The devil is always happy when you focus on your present circumstances but rest in God’s love for you. Remember to always look at the cross. Why would God sacrifice His all even when you were lost in your sins if He didn’t love you? You didn’t know Him yet still He gave His best for you how much more now that you have come to know. His love is unconditional and His faithfulness is comparable to none. He is not responsible for your misfortunes but He will help you come out of them.

Beloved, when you look at your life and find yourself wondering if God really loves you, look to the cross and see God’s outstretched arms. That is the symbol of God’s love. It will remind and reassure you of how much He loves you!
