You are Joint Heir with Christ
Being born again is not a cliché. It means that you are no longer a slave to sin and all of this world’s pressure but a son of the Most High God. The interesting thing is, God does not just call you His son, but He also calls you ‘an heir’ through Christ (Galatians 4:7). Romans 8:17 says that you are ‘joint heirs’ with Christ. Let this sink in; “You are joint heir with Christ”
And as a joint heir with Christ Jesus, you inherit everything that He is. You are as precious to the Father as Jesus is to the Father. The Father loves you the same way He loves Jesus. A lot of people are of the impression that God loves them less when they do something wrong and more when they obey the Word of God but there is no truth in that.
Would you like to know how accepted you are by God? Look at Jesus! That is how accepted you are! Christ is the yardstick, He is the measuring tool of your acceptance. Wondering how favoured you are? Look at Jesus, who is seated at the Father’s right hand. Whatever Christ enjoys today, you enjoy! All that He has obtained from the Father is also yours. How much Jesus has is how much you have. Don’t let the things you see around you belittle your potential. You are bigger than what you are now. How prosperous is the one who made all things, and who put the gold, silver and diamonds in the earth? So are you in this world (1 John 4:17)!
I used to read the Bible to find out how to be a successful and victorious Christian. Now, I read it to find out more about Jesus because I know that when I find Him, I find myself; I find my every blessing in Him (Ephesians 1:3, 2 Peter 1:3).
My beloved, all that Jesus is in heaven today, you are in this world. Everything that belongs to Him belongs to you. That is why it is in your best interest to know Him more, to see Him in all His glory and beauty. And because Jesus is so glorious, it will take you a lifetime to discover everything that He has done for you and has for you.
Beloved, you are an heir of the Most High God and you are joint heir with Christ Jesus. So find out all the blessings that your rich inheritance includes by learning about Him and start walking in them today!
Remember that the Bible is still the solution to all of life’s problems.
