Proof Of Your Faith

There are many religions that claim they are the way to God through the doing of good works and right living. The believers of these religions even on their death bed cannot tell whether they have done good enough to have access to heaven. They claim only God knows whether they have done well enough. This is interesting! How can one possibly do anything to please such a perfect God who wants everything in its perfection? This is why God has dealt with the difficult part and only wants us to believe in His Son to enjoy the Gift of salvation. With all this said what is the proof of your Faith?

All the various religions claim the way to God but none of them have their leaders ever teaching on love. Jesus was the only leader that taught on love and He never formed a religion but a way of life. He came to show us God in the flesh. Christianity is a way of life and has only one proof. Is the proof of your faith love, or works? Everyone can try to act as though they love but it will eventually be known when the tough times set in. Take a look at nations where there is no Christianity. All you can see is chaos and destruction.

A popular song years ago said that what the world needs now is love. Judging from what is happening around us, that still holds true. But while the world needs love and searches for it, people are looking for love in places that continually bring trouble and destruction. No one can love unconditionally except with help from the Father. Every Christian has been called not only to show love but to become love. This kind of love is that which is modelled after the love God has for man. It is more than love for a relative, because it is complete and perfect.

This kind of love is beyond your capability without God’s help. Therefore you must have God’s love in you; you must be born of God to be able to love others as He commands. Anyone who does not love does not know God (1 John 4:8). Some argue that some unbelievers are able to love more than certain believers. That is not true. It is impossible for an unbeliever to love like a Christian because this kind of love can only be expressed when you have experienced the love of God firsthand. Unbelievers who appear to love you will expect something in return later but it is only God’s love that has no strings attached.

The reason why some Christians are not able to show this kind of love is because they don’t have a good fellowship with the Father. If at any time you cannot love someone, then you are actually giving evidence that you are moving away from God. Your intimate communion with the Father is compromised whenever you let resentment and hatred begin to blossom in your life. The only proof of your faith as a Christian is love because all the acclaimed religions are devoid of it. Love is all you have to give and love is what will change men’s heart.
