The Way To Success
In life, there is good success and bad success. Bad success is the kind of success which robs you of quality time with your family, friends and church, and destroys your health and relationships. Good success is one filled with peace and prosperity in every area of your life.
God wants you to enjoy good success and the key lies in what God told Joshua when he took over the reins following the death of Moses—“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8 NIV). The King James Version puts it this way, “then you will have good success”. Spending time in God’s Word consistently will give you godly wisdom which will make your way prosperous and give you good success in whatever you do.
Many in this life are faced with many problems than before. Some of these problems have even lasted for years and still counting. There are people who are looking for success in many different places. Success does not mean having wealth and is not only calculated after a certain age as people claim. Success can indeed be calculated or seen at every point in a person’s life and not only when they are old. There are people who are very wealthy and have little sleep or are tormented everyday of their life: – This is not success.
There is actually the way to success. Note I didn’t say a way to success but “the way to success”. To have good success there is only one way and that way is through God’s Word. You can try being successful through other means but that would last only for a moment. No success comes overnight which means you would have to put in effort to be successful. But this effort needed produces long lasting success as compared to using dubious means. You need to spend quality time in the Word of God to have results. The Word of God teaches and addresses all problems that we face in this life. The neglect of the Word only means you are looking for doom.
Beloved, when God’s Word takes priority in your daily life, not only will your finances be blessed, your ministry and family life will also be blessed! This is a call for you to actively study the Word of God. The Holy Spirit is always willing and able to help you if you call upon Him.
