Why do I sin (2)

There is a practical reason why you sin as a Christian. It is not the devil forcing you to sin, nor is it the conditions surrounding you that force you to sin. I laugh when I hear people say “the devil made me do this and that”. All the devil does is to excite your flesh to war against the spirit but you sin because your mind has not been renewed with the Word of God. Yes that is the main reason “because your mind has not been renewed with the Word of God. When you became born again it was your spirit that became a new creation, your body and mind remained the same. You don’t become more beautiful physically when you become born again, nor do you forget your past but something changes about you.

The Word of God has the power and ability to transform and renew your mind so you can live a holy and fun filled life. The devils didn’t run away from Jesus just because He was the Son of God but because He was the epitome of Holiness. He smelled holiness everywhere He went. Some people think there is no fun in being holy but that is a lie from the pit of hell. Have you ever dreamt of having every single thing you ever wished or hoped for? Or seeing people healed, and watching several miracles happening in your life? This is why you must remain holy.

The Bible is the Word of God. Not many believe this because if you did you will search the scriptures everyday of your life. It is amazing how many people pray daily for God to talk to them but never open the Bible they have placed by their pillow. The more you read your Bible, the more you love God and hate sin. You begin to love what God loves and hate what God hates. That is holiness.

So now “why do I sin” is no longer a valid question to ask yourself or anyone else. The word of God is all you need to have a sinless life. Prayer is good but you can pray from sun up to sun down and continue to live in sin if you don’t get close to the Word of God.
