Are You Living For His Glory
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:15 that Jesus died for all, that we should henceforth not live unto ourselves, but unto Him who died for us and rose again. It is God’s will for every believer to have a beautiful life, be prosperous and live in good health. If you being a parent would want what is best for your children how much more your heavenly Father. God loves you more than you even love yourself. As wonderful as His provision for you might sound, that’s not all there is to Christianity.
Another reason why God will bless and prosper you is so that you can make positive impact in the lives of others. The ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in your life is not limited to you and your family only. God seeks to bless others around you by showing His glory through you to others. The Holy Spirit comes in you for your sake (to transform you and make you what He wants you to be) and upon you for the sake of others (to touch the lives of people around you).
If you truly believe that Jesus died to save you, then you must continuously live your life for His glory. The Bible says that he who is forgiven much loves much and he who is forgiven little, loves little. It is common to see a born again person who was very bad helping many people and those who seemed not to be that bad just living for themselves. One thing I will say to those who seemed to be good is to ask yourself where you would have probably been if you were not saved and that would help you to leave all to help others. Your life is to be a witness to people around you. The only way you can do this is to love others and you cannot love others if you have not received God’s love firsthand.
Many have a mediocre mindset of fending for themselves only but the primary responsibility for you is to think beyond the box and be willing to help others. From the day you confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life, you ceased to live for yourself but unto Him alone. Are you living for His Glory? Your major occupation therefore should be to fulfill His will and bring Him glory at all times. This does not mean that you have been called into a particular ministry like a pastor or prophet but that in all you do you seek to please Him. So the question for thought is ARE YOU LIVING FOR HIS GLORY?
