Why The Church Is The Hope Of The World
The world has been plagued with a lot of wars, poverty and hurting people. There are places where people are starving to death and others where people are killing each other with arsenals. Men have tried settling them through negotiations and persuasion but that has not resolved much. Man’s quest for peace and prosperity is still not in the balance because the right solution is not being accessed or used. This affirms why the church is the hope of the world.
The Church of Jesus Christ is the oasis of hope in this troubled world. The Bible says in John 3:16 that “for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Lord Jesus Christ came to the world as God’s answer to all of man’s problems. All means “all” and not limited to healing but also prosperity, peace, and progress. That is why He declared in Matthew 11:28 that come unto me (Jesus), all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. He is the solution to all who are hopeless and the cure to the economic and social upheavals threatening the peace of any nation.
This is the message the Church is boldly proclaiming and will continue to proclaim till the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every individual needs to know that Jesus is the only hope and assurance of peace, progress and prosperity in the world. This message is not reserved to pastors or evangelists but to every believer (the church/body of Christ). As a child of God you have a responsibility to manifest the glory of God in your sphere of contact and be a source of hope to the hopeless in your world.
Anyone who comes in contact with Jesus has a change in mindset and character. He gives you peace that surpasses all understanding and helps you to prosper. Any nation that put Him first enjoys peace and prosperity. Look around you and it is easy to note that places filled with poverty, wars and unending suffering are all places that do not put Him first. The church is therefore entrusted with this Gospel to bring deliverance to the nations not only in this world but also in the world to come. We bring hope to the hopeless and healing to the nations.
