Establishing Your Heart By Grace

Many Christians want to really love God and want to serve Him but are not able to be consistent in their walk. They know that it is only fellowship with the Father that can deepen their relationship and consequently the level of dominion they will enjoy but cannot seem to make time. There are others who also worry because the devil always tells them that they are not doing enough. When they pray or study their Bible for an hour, the devil tells them they should have gone two or three hours. They never seem to have done enough in their minds eye.

God does not want your heart full of worries and fears, tossed and turned by every challenge that comes your way. He wants your heart to be at rest; to enjoy the peace that only Him can bring and to be established by His grace toward you.

The problem with many Christians of today is that we think that the breakthroughs to our challenges depend on our ability to obey God. This is as a result of the sermons we listen on our pulpits. Most churches refuse to preach pure grace because of the fear of making their congregation careless and disobedient. They would rather mix the law and grace and expect blessings from God. This is what leads to life full of worries and anxieties. Why? Because you can never obey God perfectly when you rely on your own obedience!

But when you depend on God’s grace, that is, His undeserved, unmerited favour, your heart becomes established. Establishing your heart by Grace is what will rid your heart of worry and pain. When you know that the only thing that qualifies you to receive God’s blessings is faith in the finished work of Christ, your heart becomes established and you live a life without fear, worry or anxieties. This is what gives you a sure foundation to continue in the supernatural.

My beloved, God wants your heart established, knowing that His righteousness, healing, protection and provision are yours—all paid for by Jesus’ finished work at the cross. God’s blessings are sure in your life because they are not dependent on your ability to keep His laws, but Jesus’ perfect obedience.

Under the old covenant, you receive God’s blessings only if you keep all His laws to the fullest (Deuteronomy 28:1-2). A failure to do so disqualifies you from receiving His blessings. But today, things have changed. Under the new covenant, your sins no longer disqualify you because God Himself has said, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” (Hebrews 8:12).

So let your heart be established by God’s grace. Establishing your heart by grace gives you full access to His blessings. You no longer have to worry about whether you are good enough or worst off. You can stand firm on the promises made in His Word and enjoy His blessings today because Jesus has paid it all. Your part is only to believe and receive!

If you are not born again, you cannot enjoy this glorious privilege. To be enlisted in God’s kingdom click here “Prayer of salvation”. God bless you.
