Benefits of Divine Favour
For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favour as with a shield (Psalm 5:12). Favour is a quality of Grace. One of the outworking of Grace. This has been well described and explained earlier on the article with the title “What Divine Favour Is”. The favour of God upon a person’s life can never be hidden just like light cannot be hidden in darkness. When the favour of God is upon you, it is evident in so many ways. Some of which will be discussed.
Some benefits of divine favour
The favour of God will single you out of the crowd
There were so many people around but Abraham was singled out of the lot to be blessed by God. God just told him to leave all he had and follow Him (Genesis 12:1). This singular honour made him a blessing to many. That is what favour does in your life. You are singled out for promotion, greatness, miracles and the experience of the supernatural. That is why people can’t understand why you would move from a salesman to a manager in just a few years or from a fool to a wise man. That is above the ordinary that blows people’s mind away. It moves you from nowhere to somewhere.
The face of God will shine upon you
Science has revealed that the moon has no light but receives its light from the sun. Thus the source of its light at night is the sun. So shall your light shine to the ends of the earth. As you receive light from God, you give/radiate light to other men who are in darkness. As this happens, man will never be your limitation. No boundary shall continue to stand before you. When this favour locates you, as you move boundaries fall, mountains flatten, valleys fill up and ways form where there is no way.
God will speak to you
The first thing that God did after locating Abraham was to talk to him. Oh how great a blessing it is to hear the voice of God. There are many who are yearning to hear God speak to them but don’t know how. You are blessed to hear Him speak. I can confidently say that I hear the voice of God and such a blessing it is. Not everybody gets that privilege (the Muslim would love to hear from God, same with the Buddhist and those who serve other gods but they can’t) but that is what favour can bring to you.
You will prosper in all that you do
There are many who think to be a good Christian you have to be poor but I am here to inform you that it is a lie from the pit of hell. You are made for prosperity. That is why you are born. The reason why there are still the poor among believers is because they don’t know yet. You are to be rich and wealthy. For prosperity is of God, the Bible says “I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. This is not God mincing words but God speaking to you. When you become born again favour is yours because you are a citizen of Zion. For the time of favour has come (Psalm 102:13).
Remember that the Bible is still the solution to all of life’s problems.
