Don’t Settle For Less
For he who has once entered (God’s) rest also has ceased from (the weariness and pain) of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own (Hebrews 4:10 AMP).
When you study the account of creation, you will observe that man is the crown of God’s creation. He is the Glory of God. After creating everything else, God created man in His own image and likeness.
When God was done creating man, everything was ready. Man’s creation was on the last day and Bible recalls that God rested. Adam woke up to God, resting. He finished all the work of creating the universe; there was nothing for Adam to do except to appreciate God. This was God’s ideal purpose for man all along. Man is supposed to function from a position of rest without ever worrying, struggling, going through any hardship or anxiety in life.
You were born into God’s rest and not into struggles, worry or stress. Those who don’t understand this truth live an unhappy, frustrated and bitter life. God made you for His pleasure and not for worry. All you need to do is to live a life that will bring glory to Him. No wonder He says “come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Anytime you worry, you live a life short of God’s best for your life.
Conclusion
This is an invitation to those who are still struggling, worrying and battling in life. Enter into God’s rest. It is as simple as that. This is the life you have been called into. It is a life of beauty, glory and grace. It is a supernatural life of success from a position of rest. Embrace it and don’t settle for less. God is waiting for you to show the world how wonderful He is. Don’t settle!
